Vintage Silver Metal Creamer and Sugar Bowl with Tray
Price Tag is from F.W. Woolworth Co.
    Made in Occupied Japan
Set has been stored in a clear plastic bag in my late mother's china cabinet.  Her mother or Grandmother would have bought this around the time WWII ended at their local Dime-Store, Woolworth's, in Chicago, IL.
Good Vintage condition, with some minor wear.  Tray does seem to be missing one handle.

    More on Occupied Japan:
The American government believed that establishing democracy in Japan involved change in all areas of Japanese life. Under MacArthur and with the cooperation of the Japanese, Japan undertook tremendous changes in just seven short years — the Occupation lasted from
    1945 to 1952
    .
More on F.W. Woolworth Co (from Wikipedia):
The F.W. Woolworth Co. had the first
    five-and-dime stores
    , which sold
    discounted
    general merchandise and
    fixed price
, usually five or ten cents,
    undercutting
the prices of other local merchants. Woolworth, as the stores popularly became known, was one of the first American retailers to put merchandise out for the shopping public to handle and select without the assistance of a
    sales clerk
. Earlier retailers had kept all merchandise behind a counter and customers presented the clerk with a list of items they wished to buy.
