    Description

    Lu Ray Pastels (commonly known as just LuRay) was manufactured by Taylor, Smith and Taylor from 1938 to 1954.  Named after the Luray Caverns in Virgina, these gently tinted dishes were designed as an alternative to the "Fiesta" dinnerware craze of the 1930's. Pieces are marked with the back stamp "TS&T LuRay Pastels". Also included were the month and year which provides the exact age of the piece.
    Offered is a Persian Cream Sugar Bowl with lid. The lid has a hairline crack that goes all the way through the piece and has several small chips on the underside.  The bowl itself does not have any chips or cracks, but does have crazing.  The Piece is priced accordingly.
